Heal body shame.

Stop trying to be perfect.

Build lasting self-empowerment.

Therapy to help women build the life they want, rather than the life they should want.

Change-focused. Feminist-perspective.

Do you struggle with body image or obsess about thoughts of food and weight in order to feel worthy? Do shame, perfectionism, and people-pleasing cause you to doubt and berate yourself? Do you struggle to assert yourself and feel powerful in your own life?

That’s not what you deserve.

Liberate yourself from unnecessary pressure and expectations that limit you and your worth.

“I accept the great adventure of being me.”

— Simone de Beauvoir

Let me offer you a space for empowered change.

I’m Shelby.

I work with adult women who are tired of feeling unworthy or unheard, who view their body as a problem, and who want to stop chasing the myth of perfection.

You deserve the life you actually want.

I believe women are strong, beautiful, and capable. Unfortunately, for a lot of us, we don’t hear that message often, if at all. Instead, we receive messaging from society, our family, our friends, and media of what we “should” want, do, and look like. Our voices and desires are stifled in order to make everyone else comfortable. It’s bullshit.

I’m done living a life that serves the needs of everyone else in a system designed for men to succeed and women to be told to “keep trying.” I want to help other women feel the same freedom and power to start taking up space, speaking up, and loving themselves without judgment. The ultimate rebellion.

Types of therapy I use:

  • This treatment approach focuses on understanding the messaging and stories you have been told about yourself and the world around you and how to change the story to one you want.

  • This treatment approach focuses on building understanding of your body’s experience as a way of building trust in, and appreciation of, your body.

  • This treatment approach focuses on identifying your values in order to create behavior change that is purposeful and meaningful to you.
